We stayed in a nice place just north of Hope, British Columbia. This is the view from our room.	The lake was a short distance from our room.	Going over the mountain pass between Hope and Kamloops, BC, I stopped and watched this helicopter hauling logs from the side of a steep mountain. There were several times I thought the copter was going to lose control and crash.
I don't know the name of the Lake, but I was impressed enough to take a picture.		Same lake at the other end.
The lupine flowers are beautiful and grow wild.	Somewhere around Golden or Revelstoke, BC.
This is a famous railroad spiral loop that tunnels into the side of a mountain to gain altitude. Immediately in front is a slowly moving train going right. It's engine, further ahead, can be seen going to the left toward the tunnel's entry.		The rear of the train is close to the camera. There is a red locomotive in the middle of the train both pushing and pulling.
This zoomed in shot shows the train exiting the tunnel, while the rest of the train behind it is still entering the tunnel.	We arrived at Lake Louise, AB, in the rain.	Our first visit to Lake Louise was cold and rainy.

	This gentleman was here for our visit several years ago.	He plays a mean alphorn.. Specializes in playing "Amazing Grace".


I had some time left after Betty got off, so I took the boat out and raced it around.	Lake Moraine, about 5 miles from Lake Louise.
		One can stay at Lake Moraine's lodge right next to the lake itself.

	The drive to Jasper on the Columbia Icefields Parkway.	Everywhere is a beautiful view.



Not long ago, the glacier was far deeper and longer, and reached to the highway. Canada's glaciers have shrunk 60% in recent times.	The visitors center at the Columbia Icefields. If one wants to see real glaciers, one had better travel soon. They've been melting very rapidly over the past 40 years. Glacier Natl Park in the U.S. is soon to lose all of theirs.
These very expensive sports cars are on their way to a rally in Jasper. Corvettes are below the status of these cars.	Columbia Icefields visitor center. The center faces the Columbia Ice Field.	One can ride one of these oversized busses up the glacier and get out and walk around and fall into the crevasses.
These same goats were here the last time I was here.
We took the gondola up Whistler Mountain near Jasper, Alberta. (Not to be confused with Whistler, a ski resort town above Vancouver, British Columbia). The restaurant is on the top floor, and a gift shop on the bottom. We ate at about the middle window on the top floor.	The town of Jasper is in the upper right.

As I looked at the people going up and down the mountain above the restaurant, I was reminded of ants following a path.		Our visibility was blocked at times while on the mountain.
	A little girl admonished me and said I was suppose to hug the bear.	We stayed at "Jasper House" while in Jasper, which was located in the woods near this river.

Jasper House office and restaurant. The restaurant had windows all around to view wildlife through the pine forest.	Very nice and relaxed. I'd definitely stay here next time I'm in Jasper. In the background on the side of the mountain is the restaurant and gondola.
