Betty and Woody left June 4th, and returned home June 20th. We dropped off our friend in Carbondale, and then saw places on map at right. Blue color is going, green is return.

Traffic jam in northwest Colorado.

Always wanted to visit Dinosaur National Monument (northwest Colorado). They stopped working the "dig" in about 1987, and left the buildings in place.

In the background is a former river bed where dead dinosaurs collected in piles after failure to cross the river in herds. The river bed tilted in time.

Most dinosaur bones were scattered in the river, but in a few cases complete skeletal remains were found.

Next visit was the Grand Tetons, WY. It was overcast and it took an hour of waiting to get this picture.

A surprise south of Jackson, WY was to see snow in pasture land before we arrived in the mountains. Woody is standing on a frozen lake in Yellowstone park.

Yellowstone Lodge (Northwest Wyoming). Rooms can be rented in the lodge, or in nearby cabins.

Yellowstone Lodge. View from balcony. Betty is in the blue coat holding umbrella. Rained all the time we were in Yellowstone. Fortunately, we've been to Yellowstone before.

View of steam near Yellowstone lodge. In distance the burned trees from earlier Yellowstone fire can be seen.
