A falls at the south end of Glacier Park.

Glacier Park Lodge, a lodge on the southeast side of the Park. This lodge has an Amtrak train station about a block away.

There are several park lodges scattered around the park.

We stayed one night here, "Many Glacier Lodge", in the northeast of the park.. Rooms weren't much, and close to "originally built in 1910s" with thin walls, rickety furniture, and steam radiator, but .... what a view!!!

Our room was fourth window up, just on the other side of the fire escape.

Most rooms had no bathroom, and one had to use the one down the hall.  Our room had a tiny restroom and shower.

This lodge is  Glacier Park's largest.

Wow!

The lobby of our lodge.
That's Betty by the fireplace.

I sat around that fireplace one evening in 1958 with some friends.  However, I remember the fireplace being twice as large.  Later that night I and the engineering crew I was with slept in sleeping bags on the side of a mountain with icy cold winds.

Same lobby, ground view. Woody on left.

In 1958, I never thought I'd be back to this beautiful place.

Balcony of our room.

Sunset from our balcony.

We went into Canada to visit Waterton-Glacier. Some people from California wanted us to take their picture and they'd take ours.  We posed by their bicycles.
